What is DIVERSITY?
According to the dictionary, diversity can be defined as "the fact or quality of being diverse or different (dictionary.com)."

Martha Stone Wiske adds that "commitment to universal public education has brought an increasingly diverse range of students into schools. There is opportunity for teachers and students to learn from and develop respect for one another's diversity, whether that stems from varied LINGUISTIC, CULTURAL, and ETHNIC backgrounds or differences in ABILITIES and INTERESTS as INDIVIDUAL LEARNERS (2005, p. 136)."
